How To Use A Winch Strap

  1. Spool The Winch/Thread Winch Strap:
    Allow the winch spool freely so that you can you’ll out the winch strap freely.
    Carefully thread the loose end of the winch strap through the winch drum or winch mechanism. Ensure that the strap is positioned evenly on the drum to prevent binding or uneven spooling.
  2. Wrap The Winch Strap: Wrap the winch strap lengthwise around the load. Make sure the winch strap is not twisting, if so, straighten it.
  3. Anchor The Winch Strap:
    Find an anchoring point where the winch strap can hold onto.
    Securely attach the hook or attachment point of your winch strap to a strong anchor point. This anchor point could be a winch drum, a recovery point on a vehicle, or any other sturdy structure. Make sure the attachment is tight and will not come loose during operation.

4. Apply Tension/Lock The Winch:
Lock the winch so that the winch straps stop spooling freely.

Start winching by turning the winch handle or using the winch's power source. Apply even and steady tension to the strap. Keep a close eye on the load and the strap, making sure it remains centered and under control.

5. Tighten It:
Tighten the winch strap with the winch you have installed.

Once the load is in the desired position or secured to your satisfaction, stop winching and lock the winch drum to prevent accidental unwinding. Make sure the load is stable and won't shift during transport or use.

6. Store the Winch Strap Properly:
After use, store your winch strap in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Avoid kinks, twists, or sharp bends in the strap, as these can weaken the material over time.
